About Us
Metcalfe Valley is uniquely positioned on the warmer northern edge of the cool Macedon Ranges wine region. All grapes used are grown on the property in shallow basaltic soils, giving low yields per acre, followed by hand picking and traditional wine making.
The vineyard has produced a number of great wines, both under its own label and through the sale of fruit. Over the past few years it has increased its acreage of grapes with the addition of the Sauvignon Blanc and Vionier vines.
The vineyard was previously family owned and has now changed to a syndicated property with a small number of enthusiastic shareholders.
