About Us

Cloud 9 Farm is situated beneath the picturesque Cobaw State Forest in the Macedon Ranges. We are situated 620m above sea level with North facing slopes, which would be classed as a cool climate environment. Cloud 9 Farm is currently establishing a small vineyard/winery, that will produce premium pinot noir, small quantities of shiraz and merlot.

Vineyard

We have two hectares of pinot noir, small plantings of chardonnay, shiraz and merlot. Due to the cool climate we are able to extend the ripening of the chardonnay and pinot grapes which results in a complex yet balanced level of acidity in our wines - great accompaniment with food. We expect to have a cellar door available to the public in 2014. Our philosophy is to produce premium table wine, which has been made with the fruit from our land.

Cheese

In 2006 we started cheese making. It has now become a key feature of what we do here. The idea started due to having a small herd of Dexter cattle known as "Beefy little milkers". This resulted in beautiful cheeses such as camembert, ricotta and parmesan. What better way to enjoy our wines than with our home made cheese.
