Lord Malmsbury Vineyards was planted by the Rush brothers in 1989. The philosophy they brought with them was to produce the best grapes to make the best wine. Located just north of the Malmsbury township in the Macedon Ranges region known as “Australia's coldest climate wine region.” Our grapes are grown on the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range in the Central Victorian Highlands on a cold climate site of rich basaltic soils. The 5 acre vineyard was planted to premium varieties — Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing premium award winning wines.
