About Us
Birthday Villa is a boutique vineyard at Malmsbury in the Macedon Ranges Wine Region. The Birthday Villa name comes from the 19th century Queen’s Birthday mine at nearby Drummond.
The vines are 40 years old planted in the late 1960’s with gewürztraminer and cabernet varieties.
The house was built in 1876; situated near the Malmsbury station and five minutes walk from town. It has 0.5 hectare of old world gardens with views of the Malmsbury Viaduct.

Featured Wines
- Gewurztraminer: Made from grapes grown in Malmsbury in the Macedon Ranges. The very cool climate is suited to the variety which produces high quality wine. Our Gewurztraminer has won silver medals at the Macedon and Ballarat Wine Shows. James Halliday gave 2006 a four and a half glass rating in his 2008 Wine Companion.
- Cabernet: Also has a four and a half glass rating from James Halliday. It is an elegant wine with good purple red. The vineyard was planted in 1968. Our winemaker is Greg.Dedman.
